Experience the warmth of their close-knit gatherings and caring outings, where the air is filled with joy, fostering a community that genuinely cares for one another.
Special event nights with SGGS redefine the meaning of fun and celebration.

Mark your calendar for our special gala night, a jubilant celebration of the success of the Active Aging Sarawak Conference. Separate tickets for this night of festivities are available, allowing you to join the SGGS community in creating unforgettable memories. Regardless of life’s challenges, the SGGS spirit prevails—come, be a part of the joy, and just be happy, no matter what life throws your way.

Join us in celebrating cultural richness with our special invited artist: Mathew Ngau Jau, a 70-year-old Kenyah Ngorek member from Sarawak, Malaysia. Renowned as a seasoned Sape’ performer, maker, and teacher, Mathew is revered as “the Keeper of the Kenyah Ngorek Songs” and is recognized as one of Malaysia’s Living National Heritage. The Sape’, a captivating long lute-like instrument, is the heart of Mathew’s performances, adorned with traditional motifs. Originally a two-stringed marvel for healing and celebrations, it now enchants audiences worldwide. Mathew strives to revitalize the Sape’ and Kenyah traditions, preserving roots while allowing them to flourish beyond the rainforest. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the harmonious blend of tradition and innovation as Mathew shares the cultural tapestry woven into each note. Embrace the chance to celebrate alongside a true cultural luminary.
